GTU STUDENT COUNCIL
An umbrella of student clubs and committees on campus
The Student Council's Functions:
- To officially represent students of PG schools.
- To identify and assist students in resolving various challenges.
- To share its thoughts with the Institute administration in the benefit of students.
- To promote and encourage students’ participation in the planning of Institute events.

The Student Council's Responsibilities:
- To represent students' interest with Institute's management.
- To aware students about topics of their interest.
- To identify and assist students in resolving challenges.
- To interact with students on subjects of importance.
- To plan instructional and enjoyable activities for the students.
- To assist in the development of the Institute's instructional projects.
- To participate in or send a delegate to event/domain specific committees constituted by the council.
- To represent students community in official events.
Roles of the Members of the Student Council:
President
- To serve as the council's official representative in communications with students and the Institute administration.
- To schedule council sessions and create the agendas.
- To act as the council's meeting chair.
- To oversee the council members' tasks.
- To participate in every special committee the council forms, or to send a representative.
- To speak on behalf of the students at official events.
Student Council Committee Structure:
- There shall be a GTU Student Council comprising of the following:
- Two members from each PG Schools.
- The President, Vice President and Secretary shall be nominated by GTU Student Council Members.
- The faculty advisor from each PG Schools nominated by Directors of PG Schools.
Technical Clubs:
- Coordinate curricular and extracurricular events of various clubs such as GTU OWASP Student Chapter, Cyber Security/IoT/Data Science Student Clubs, Finance Club, and R&D Club.
- Plan activities and provide collaboration with students.
- Provide management, well documented, and accurate feedback about supplementary inputs.

Sports and Culture Clubs:
- Organize intra-collegiate events and ensure students’ involvement in inter-collegiate events.

NSS and Green Clubs:
- Organize national and social service events both on and off campus to help young youth to build their personalities and characters via volunteer community service.

GTU Boys and Girls Hostel:
- To represent the hostel related matters to Institute's management.
- To check the food quality at hostel mess, cleanliness, maintenance.
- To organize social activities and sports competition.
- Culture exchange between International and National Students.
